EDIT: Sorry I just read this again, did not mean to sound "harsh". What I meant was, you could try giving the site a quick call to confirm their arrangements. Sites have EHU's for the tents too, and you may not end up "on the other side" as you fear.
Last site I was on, the tent next to us was EHU'd and there was a long lead around the site edge to his tent.
