Had my own share of nightmare camping trips...Not enough time on here to relate them...But on the whole...Ive found that the good trips far...far outweigh the bad ones...So my advice is...get yourself out there again...Theres a fantastic holiday(somewhere) just waiting for you to take it..You never know...it might be on your next trip out!!!!!!!!!

Can i just say a big thankyou to all you people out their who took time to reply to my sad post lol,it has really made me feel good about camping again,as you can imagine i really have been having second thoughts about camping again, but just hearing all your positive replys has really helped me decide that we are right to give it another go,as some one posted "surely youve had the worst it can only get better"So fingers crossed my next post will be raving about my experience............Thankyou again you friendly bunch of campers.
Going off track abit Harry Bear I have just read the book THE TENT, THE BUCKET AND ME and it is honestly the best thing I have read in a long time. Being that certain age where we camped in the 70s it just made me laugh out loud lots and as we were camping in Snowdonia I am not sure what our camping neighbours thought! has anyone else read it and what did they think?

Could you imagine a website like this dedicated to people who have things to say about package holidays. Imagine - 'just got back from "lovely sunny land" and the apartment block wasn't finished, cockroaches everywhere, charged extra for hanging out my smalls and there was a typhoon type storm which took out our beloved pedalo on the second night'. Answers - "Oh well, it only cost you £2500, next year it will be ok, you have to keep tring at these things, you never know... blah blah blah'
The big difference is that we seem to have a lot more control over our holidays than most, for a fraction of the cost. We can improve our lot; we learn from our mistakes and from others' and there lies the satisfaction in what we do. As someone else said, the majority of trips you have will be postive experiences and they will far outweigh the negatives. We can't dictate the weather, unfortunately, but we can learn to deal with what it throws at us. We have more sponaneity than other types of holiday and largely we have much more freedom and fun.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
