My camping stuff is going away for another year, last night was the finale with a sleepover for my DD and 6 of her friends, I sadly had to sleep in a nearby caravan because they didn't want a grown up with them! I would brave the weather, but I have serious cash flow problems lmao.
My £50 4 man pop up has earnt its keep, with two one week holidays in the summer holiday costing us less than £250 in total including the new tent, and a few nights on a nearby field, and my tarp was fab and didn't blow away!
Our last holiday we enjoyed 4 nights in pickering then 4 nights at Filey on the bestest campsite ever, I could have stayed longer, and did enquire but they were booked up! My tent and tarp stood up to really bad rain and wind, I did take my tarp down on the last night though because I couldn't stand the noise it was making, the next day everyone was commenting on the terrible wind, so I was chuffed because if I hadn't taken it down I wouldn't have blown down.
I have posted some photos, what am I going to do now, with no more trips to plan, roll on next year
Love the set-up and cute kids, bartown! Feeling sad too, just got back (with sunburn) from 4 idyllic days, not a breath of wind, just blue sky. Can't believe it's our last trip this year. Kit all over the house to be washed/sorted and stored for next year
We're heading off next weekend - back to Breck Farm in Norfolk as we enjoyed it so much when we went a few weeks back. Whether we do any more trips after that will depend on how cold I get this time - Hmmm, must remember to take my fleecy hat and fluffy slipper-socks!
Just did a beautiful Night at the Wern Isaf site in Llangollen, hope to get one more trip in next weekend with my girlfriend, which will be her first ever, so very nervous.
We have sorted out everythign, given it all a clean, bedroom pods been washed and it's up for sale!! Monty, extention footprint & carpet, also our trailer as yesterday we bought a TT!! Roll on next easter!!! well saying that i;'m hoping for a night at Stowford at the weekend, they have a caravan show on!!

It was upper carr and it was fab and would go again, and Filey it was centenary way, basic campsite but within 10 minute walk of the seafront and all the shops, yet still remote enough to feel like the middle of nowhere.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
