Hi all had to drive up to Sellafield in Cumbria today for work related stuff, set off at 6.30 it was dark as I got further into my journey the sun came up and it was magical. The sun was shining the sky was clear blue and the colours of the foliage on the trees stunning, one of those great to be alive days.As I drove through this beautiful area I really wished I had my tent with me to enjoy a nice weekend camping. Then on the horizon I could see Sellafield Nuclear Site what a horrible blot on any landscape, but in this area of absolutely outstanding beauty I thought why have they done this.Anyway got to Sellafield had the full terrorist check stroked the sniffer dog (a lovely black labrador) did the business set off back through that fabulous landscape.I was back in Salford by 3pm pi$$ed right off.Mick
And I thought this was a thread about cider.....! Which incidentally goes really well when you are seeing magical landscapes like you describe. Actually it sounds glowing, what with Sellafield in view too!
