Not sure what you mean by 'worth a trip over' If you wanted to buy a very expensive tent then yes it would be worth a trip over as obviously it ain't a good idea buying an £800 tent mail order without seeing it erected & examining it first. Theres plenty of large camping shops in Holland, just google campingwinkel a couple here & here
got some nice stuff on the site. Think they supply the bell tents to the uk as well, that's why they won't ship them now (some backhander deal no doubt)
like the kitchen..!
Delivery is pretty cheap to the uk as well - about £13 for this

I'm sure Angie (Angelicminx) has been and didn't she just meet up with someone who went over.
It can't be that far back in the threads.
Not true, I never go to camping stores
Obelink rocks . But you need quite some time to get round and look at everything as it is huge !
Every tent is on display plus caravans, TTs , sports/casual wear/footwear and everything you could possibly want or need no matter what your choice of unit is :)
And there is a cafe for a well needed drink and bite to eat.
And plenty of parking spaces.
From the UK,,not doable in a daytrip as is is south west Holland (close to the German border) but if you are here, well worth a visit.
Although Obelink is large an has a complete offer of camping gear i think i would go to the vrijbuiter in Roden.
Same camping gear and tents. But the big favor for Roden is the fact that only 200 meter from the entrance of de Vrijbuiter , De Waard has a tent display also :-). And i think ,if you come to holland to look at tents it's a waste if you don't go to a de Waard showroom :-).
But al in all Obelink is realy good , happy to live only an hour away from it :-)

------------- with the right tent you don't need a caravan.

Have to agree that De Vrijbuiter is also fab and the store in Roden is way better than the one in Gouda (and alot larger).
Having De Waard next door in Rofen is a mega bonus but again, De Waard in Heerde is a nicer store than Roden imho and that is only around 20 minutes in the car for us.
Unfortunately both Roden and Obelink are not too close to us but what is an hour and a half in the car for such fab camping stores :)
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
