We had same problem with tent few years back.
As I had nothing to lose, Put tent up in garden. Got some water, added little household bleach, took one of those washing up sponges, with harsher side, rubbed away mildew/mould. left to dry. Then went over area with lemon smelling soapy water, left to dry again, then coated outside of same area with Fabsil. Result, sweet smelling, waterproof tent. Took about 3 hours tops. Pick a good day and it will dry quick.
