Hi Scott+Viv I got the Gobi 4 last year from Go Outdoors for £99..Used it 3 times..none in the rain so cant comment on that..Once at Pillaton During lovely weather...and once in a raging gale last weekend in September last year with no problems..
Like the fact it pitches outer 1st..and the "Bathtub"type fitted g/sheet in the living area.. 3doors to choose from..Have only ever used the side ones ..found it easy and quick to pitch and take down...had 3-4 folk sat in the living area at one time and never felt crowded...Sleeping area...Have only had 2 people sleep in that area on fishing/camp beds and we had plenty of room..Though like most tents advertised to sleep 4 it might get a bit tight depending on the size of the 4 individuals concerned?? No separation curtain in the sleeping comp...just one big space which could be an issue if someone likes their privacy..I would think I could squeeze 3 into the sleep area at a push..but no more..There was a Hi gear 5berth tent pitched nest to the Gobi(sorry forgotten the name) that looked a bit bigger all round that seemed to have a bit more room in it and a affair at the front that let you open up the front door as a further extension..But that was quite a bit dearer than the Gobi..Lack of rain use aside I've been quite happy so far with the Gobi but again only use it for solo/two person camping and found it comfy enough..Hope this helps.......
Jelboy.
