Karla-------Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
My OH would love to camp in the garden, i am a bit worried about the tent, we have a lot of cats living around us and would hate to get spray or claw holes in it.

Ah, you need to buy a special garden camping tent then
Something cheap that doesn't matter if it gets damaged by cats.
Spent the night on Good Friday in our new Quechua llll pop up. It just poured down all day and as we were having an unusually restful weekend (and I couldn't go away as on a course today, Easter Sunday) then I set up the tent, put in the new over-egging-the pudding airbed that my husband bought (!!!) and we (daughter and me) snuggled down with treats and a vampire flick on the laptop.
It totally bucketed down in the night but good enough we were absolutely snug and warm, dry with just a little condensation. Very impressed by the tent (stuck a review on here) so easy to put up and down.
We were awakened the next morning by a fabulous dawn chorus, so incredible as being in the tent felt like being in the country.
I am now very confident to throw this tent in the smaller car and just drive off for a night or two with minimal kit. Fantastic overnighter.
