Hi, I hope this is the right place to post this. I've got a bit of a problem here, I am trying to repair our Jack Wolfskin worlds end rt tent. The problem is the coating on the groundsheet has bubbled up on half the floor and I'm looking for a way to remove it (without destroying the tent) before I can apply a new coat. So far I've heard of amonia 1 to 1 with water or Isopropyl alcohol (which I cannot get here in Holland). Has anybody tryed to do such a repair?
We've bought this tent in 2006 and I believe it still has some life in it yet. I will buy a new one as a last resort but would like to avoid if possible. In three weeks time we're off cycling southern Europe for six months www.bike-journeys.com

No idea xilios - but have you contacted the manufacturer to ask their advice?t
Thanks for the reply.
I've found a solution myself this mornng. I used water, a fine knit wash cloth, some elbo grease and a lot of patience to rub it clean. I had tryed it in a small section at first and it seemed to work well so I stayed with it for a few hours and got the whole thing off. I was hoping for an easyer solution but oh well, at least now I know there aren't any chemicals on it.
Hi Xillos,
We have the same problem! The lining on the inside of the groundsheet is peeling off like sunburnt skin! Yuk!
How can I restore the groundsheet once I have cleaned it off? There must be a product that can be sprayed or painted on?
Please reply ASAP because we were hoping to go off this weekend!
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.
Sam

I wouldn't hold your hopes up too much. Xillos has been a member for over 5 years and in that time he has made just 5 posts, which suggests that he is probably an infrequent visitor to the forum.
