At what point should I tighten the tension straps on a tent?I have no clue when to do this as all my other tents have never had any and this is the first time I have had to use them.

If you mean those straps at the pegging points then

I loosen them completely, peg them down about 2 inches away from the tent and then pull them as tight as i can. This keeps the tent fabric nice and firm.

Don't know if this is the correct way but it's always worked for me.
