Well, my plans are rapidly going pear shaped.
I phoned the site this morning and when she rang me back, it turned out that it was fully booked the week we wanted but she could do the following week. I said I thought that would be ok and that I'd get back to her and confirm within a couple of hours.
We both changed our leave arrangements at work and I rang back 90 minutes later and left a message confirming that I wanted the two pitches and asked them to ring back to take a deposit etc.
Two hours later, I rang again as I was about to go into a meeting and wanted to get it sorted out. After another 2.5 hours, I rang again. By this time I was getting a bit anxious. I phoned the booking line and tried to book with them, and they said it's fully booked that week, but couldn't say if it was booked by the site manager or what.
They still haven't called back and I'm starting to worry that she's let the pitches go to someone else, but as I don't know either way, I don't know what to do. It could be fully booked because she's booked 2 pitches for me and hasn't told me! I couldn't book online as you have to book pitches one at a time on their website, and I didn't want to book one and then find I couldn't get the second one.
The C&CC are going to get a very stern letter from me if that's what's happened.
