i currently have my nevada m laid in the back garden drying out after getting a soaking yesterday, is this enough or do i actually need to erect the tent to dry.
You don't need to erect it. It won't shrink or anything. You might want to lift it up off the ground in some way though...drape it over the line, or shove some garden furniture under it.
Given that the inside gets damp from condensation, you could do with either pitching it and having the doors open for a breeze to get through or put something like garden chairs inside it to do a similar thing. If the inners are left in - it is essential that you get a good airflow into the tent and make sure that it is completely dry inside and out. Undo guyrope bundles too as guyropes take a long time to dry and will contaminate the tent when its packed away... You may need to air it for a few days in the house too afterwards to make sure that it is completely dry...
thanks for the quick replies, i was just worried that with it been laid in the bag all night wet it may of got damp inside the tent despite the doors all been zipped up, i can through it over my fence if that will help.
RAF35Y its all ready been hit with mildew after been in the bag all winter, not had chance to clean that up yet, though its not bad and can soon be dealt with once we get a moment and its dry weather, i may wait for the out side to dry and then open a door to see what its like inside then semi erect it, with it oinly having 3 poles it shouldnt take long apart from the difficulty of doing it alone lo

I would prefer to pitch it as our tent usually has a little condensation inside if its been raining. It can be a pain having to pitch again but you would want to pack it away dry to prevent any damp occuring if its not going to be used for a while.

oh dear, well i managed to pitch it on my own, but i should not of rushed it because i have split one of my pole sections right down the middle :( now i have another problem to fix. i have a spare pole section and a spare metal section for the end can someone tell me how your supposed to connect the metal bit to the fibre glass pole please.
I was dreading having to pack up in the rain but after 5 years it eventually happened Whit week, fortunately we weren't far away so I brought most of the stuff home and then went back and we just gathered the tent up and put it in the trailer. Didn't realise just how wet it was until we got it out in the living room. I did as people advised on here and just left it loosely gathered up, turned the heating up and just kept rotating the tent, unfortunately it was still gathering pools at the bottom and didn't seem to be drying at all. So, we remembered the dehumidifier at the back of the cupboard, got that out and whacked it on full 24 hours a day for two days, did the trick good and proper, also managed to spread the tent a little by attaching the guy ropes to any elevated point, wall lights, curtain polls, dining chairs, etc. After a total of 4 days it was ready to get back in the bag - we planned to take it to the park to do, but again, wet weather intervened so it was a case of making the best of it in the living room, moving all the furniture as far back as possible.
It wasn't easy, but at least we now know it is possible to do!
