hi first post,so here goes ,,,ive got a pitch booked at searles ,,hunstanton,i went for the mains service pitch,to
quote from there brochure "We are one of the first Touring parks in the country to offer the benefits of a Mains Service Pitch for Tents, your pitch will include; secluded hedged area, lighting, 16 amp electric hook-up, digital TV hook up, mains water and Waste. Available in Standard & large pitches up to 7 - 8 metres"
my question is what does digital tv hookup mean, exactly,i have also read [somewhere on this site]these are hard ground pitches will i need special pegs
Usually its a co-ax connection ( but could bean F socket, you will need to check) on the electric bollard with you providing a suitable cable to connect to your TV. The digital TV hookup just means that the aerial they use receives a digital signal but you still require a means of converting that signal into one that can be used by your TV either by means of a built in digital receive or a digi box.
i have a laptop and a plug in tv decoder,i wasnt sure if it meant there was some sort of box on the pitch that i connected a coaxal lead to ,or the lead was provided ,thanks for the reply btw, i suppose i can phone them
