What I would recommend is a loo or bucket with lid as I would send myself round the twist should I leave them on their own whilst I nip to the loo or do I wake them and where what do I do with them whilst having a wee?

Simplest things cause so much hassle well for me anyway

Not at all, the fresh air and atmosphere is good for any child, and as a bonus for you, you will probably find that they will sleep that much better.

P.S. make the most of the sleep thing,

Hi all, I'm a newbie to here as well. We just took our 23 month old for the first time last week. Just a practice for one night to a local(ish) site. Made sure there was plenty for the little one to do to tire him out as he's at that stage. Had to feed him in his buggy as there was too much for him to distract him. He did take a while to go off because it's that much lighter in a tent but once he went we didn't hear a peep out of him until 7. Off for a week to Cornwall in August.
