On one of my birthdays my parents bought me an A-frame tent. I'm now 46yrs old and I have bought myself another one, though more modern. It's a Cliimo Supalite, and I took it to Edale, as I wanted to do a long walk in the Kinder, and absolutely loved it. There's no room to stand, your head keeps touching the ceiling and cooking is terribly cramped. It only takes minutes to erect. Can't wait till I'm in the Peak District again!

Hi Heather+Phil I see you are in Chesterfield. I lived in Chesterfield during my teens and twenties - went to school at Tapton House - as my Mum's family are Cestrefeldians and I still have a brother in Matlock area.
I regularly cycled and walked all over Derbyshire. In early 80's husband and I walked John Merrell's "The Limey Way" ( as from his book) 40 miles with an overnight stop. We carried 80litre rucksacks, trangia stove and Vango bright orange tent. We lost count of the stiles.
Have a good time with your new tent. At least with a small tent it restricts the number of decisions you make on equipment to take.
