Hello All,

My lovely new roof bars arrived today, unfortunately, me being a girl, and the instructions not being so good, I havent a clue what I'm doing!

Right, at the moment I have one question... the gutters on my car have thar rubber / plastic covering the groove where the bars fit; do I remove this rubber / plastic thing? I don't know how I'mgoing to fit them otherwise!

Thanks for any replys!

remove the cover, it should slide one way and pop out, uinderneath should be a screw thread which your new roof bars should screw into.

Incidently what car have you got and what type/name of roof bars have you?

Mike

I have a Citroen C3 and have got some Cruz bars from the Roofbox co.

I may have more questions soon!

You may find that the holes for the screws are covered up by a "bubble" (they were on my C-Max so we had to burst the bubble with a screwdriver before we could insert the screw). Also, the brackets were shaped depending on what bit of the car they went on (each bracket had a number embossed on it and this number was shown on the diagram that came with the brackets - ours came from Roofbox too, so I imagine yours will be similar).

Ok, this is strange, its just a groove - not a screw, so I cant fix the bar to the car, I just tighten them between the 2 grooves if you get what I mean?
