Watching a police programme this morning and a motorist had to pull over as flames were coming from under the bonnet. The police were quick on the scene with fire extinguishers and also had to keep dragging the bloke away from his car as he was trying to retreive his possessions. So what caused the fire in the 1st place?.......
Under the bonnet they pulled out a gas cannister, large container of engine oil, sleeping bags and another 7 bags of items. When asked why the items were stored there "where on a family camping trip and we run out of car space"

Oh my word, how crazy! And to think I'm still beating myself up for packing an opened bottle of cooking oil when we went away last week, which spilt all over one of the dogs' duvets and a special bag I'd spent 20 hours hnad-crafting...I don't feel so bad now.------------- Karen

Well I have just looked under the bonnet of my car and the only way I could fit that lot in is by taking the engine out and I don’t think that would work
To fit a gas canister, large container of engine oil, sleeping bags and another 7 bags of items, the engine compartment must have been huge I can see why he didn’t want to waste all that space

The man must have been mad!!.
But it reminds me of the good old days, I used to triple wrap in foil, Meat, Potatoes, Veg place it in a small tin box and strap it round the manifold, arriving at destination about 3 hours later we had a fully cooked meal ready for us, also used to use fish as well.
Unfortunately with today’s modern car there is no room under the bonnet anymore, mores’ the shame, as we could all be arriving on site with a fully cooked hot meal!!
Did anyone else try this way of cooking?
