Our vac bags from argos stopped working on 2nd use. Can anyone recommend any good ones?
Also when packing up on camp site what do you use to get air out of the vac bags there?

Are you sure it's not the zip that's not closed? I was trying mine out in the week and found they have to be properly closed. I would take them back if they really have failed.
I bought some this week from the factory shop, they were £10 for 6. They are vacuum ones so I used the vacuum on them here but will use the airbed pump which I plug into the car for using on site. Also got some roll up ones from my mum which work out well but she can't remember where she got them from! They would be ok on site tho as no vacuum involved.
Hope that helps!

I use the roll-up ones. I got the first lot from QVC but now get them from Robert Dyas. Woollies used to sell them before their demise.------------- Fiona

When you deflate them snowyowl, put them at the bottom of the boot so that way they don't re-inflate.

We invested in proper spacebag ones especially for the jumbo tote to get our sleeping bags and clothes in 1 go. We got a cheap small cylinder vaccum from Asda for under £20 for redoing it to come home and for hoovering the tent.

We have just bought some from 99p shop and they are big enought to fit a pillow in.
We bought enough for our clothes ,towels and blankets too and it halfed the space taken up.
To come home hubby bought a wide end bit bit of plastic that he has taped to the end of the electric pump from our local camping shop for 50p so that they can be sucked for the way home.

We have had several and find they do have a certain life length. The latest ones we got from B & M's, 2 for £5, nice sized ones too, got two sleeping bags, two pillows and several sheets/blankets in each.------------- May/June - Spring Valley
