Watched it last night on BBC4 followed by a similar program about caravanning. I really enjoyed them both, thought they were very well done and found out some interesting stuff.

I knew you could wild camp in Scotland, but was not aware you could do it in Wales...Now if only we could legally do it in England

I've done a lot of wild camping in England in my youth, down here in the South Downs. It's really easy to discreetly set up camp for an over-nighter in lots of places without anyone getting uppity about it. We even did a couple of over-night stays on farmland after asking the farmer for permission to stay and handing over a couple of quid for a pint.
