Ok, I am so embarrassed about this but I need to know!
Last trip away it absolutely peed it down and tent got soaked. Next day, the day we were due to leave was glorious sunshine so we stayed for as long as we thought it would take the tent to dry and packed it away.
I was not 100% convinced it was completely dry but Dh was so I stupidly left it.
Afrer reading numerous posts about tent drying I've just plucked up the courage to get it out of the bag to have a look and it is DAMP!!!!!!! I've hastily laid it out as flat as I can and as yet have not found anything looking like mildew. Its been packed away for well over the 48 hr deadline, more like over a week in fact so what i'm wondering is, if I manage to get it dried out properly now, could mildew still form or providing there isn't some already there could I be lucky and get away with it?
I will be devastated if I find any and no doubt divorce will be on the cards!

It's not a rule that you WILL get mildew if you leave a tent damp in the bag for an extended period of time, it's just a PROBABLY, and this probability increases with how wet the tent was, how tightly its rolled, general storage temperature and of course time.
If you've not found any signs of mildew then yes, you've probably got away with it. But get it fully dried out asap and try not to repeat packing it up damp in case you already have tiny pockets of active mould spores already taking root in there.
If theres no mildew on it now, dry it off properly and you should be okay .check the guylines, if they are damp they can cause mildew .
I would wash the inners now anyway, as they are bound to be a bit smelly after a week.
A drop of bleach will kill any mould spores on the inners , so add some to the wash , cool quickwash cycle , and give an extra rinse to make sure there is no residue .

Our inners have a SIG in them similar to the one on the tent. Is that still OK to go in the washing machine?

yes, I have washed inners with sigs , cool quickwash, and make sure you turn them inside out after they have dried, as water can get trapped in the corners of the sig
