Fair enough, I was purely going on the weight stated for the OP's tent on the website I looked at.....certainly that weight does seem implausibly light though!

If you go camping to "get away from it all" - why take it all with you?

Hi,was looking for a new tent pretty recently and after 2 or 3 trips to GO and a discussion or 12 we got the choice down to 2 tents....monty  and the corado 4,why you may ask....seemples eek... the 4 was ample for 2 adults and 2 kids with plenty of room imho and most of all we all loved it,everytime we had a look at the Monty we kept going back to the Corado.

After reading reviews on the corado 4 and mainly the 6 i got a tad worried about the door but it did'nt put us of and went and bought it.

Now i know certain people will say to pitch a tent you have to do this that and the other but me personally i go with what comes to my head first then work from there if it fails so be it and try again till i get it right, luckily when we pitched the c4 we went backside first and hey presto the job was done and guess what no tight front door zip, call it luck or whatever but gonna do the same next time.

Final point.

I like to be different and our last trip their was our c4 and a c6 loads other tents mainly Montys but the corados stood out by a mile imho.

Would say that would'nt i

It is a bit like the old Outwell Colorado but bigger and with all the trimmings! I have an old Royal Avignon which is similar ( or the Suncamp Vario.) All nice tents. The zip in front was a novelty that we did not use after a while and I did worry about the tension on the zip. If it works for you, no need to change. My Monty was cheap (I won it in a UKCS competition!) otherwise I would not have bought one but having finally used it, it is a great tent.
