ive haggled with the idea of a tent carpet all year now and decided i would like one but my tent is the older type outwell hartford xxl and i dont know if the new type hartford carpet will fit if not has anyone got any other ideas of what i could use on my floor to make my tent warm and cosy.
ps OH says cant be to big he has to pack the car,
You could always lay some picnic rugs down on top of the groundsheet,or even a piece of breathable groundsheet as they are quite warm under foot.
But tbh I think if you can get one then a custom fit tent carpet is nicer.Have you scoured Ebay for one.?

I have had the same problem trying to find a carpet for my Hartford xl. Have you seen how much they are? cheapest I could find was £70.00 on E Bay, so I have just laid blankets and rugs on the floor and tried to weigh the edges down with other camping equipment just as cosy and cheaper to boot.
hey we bought a coleman one in the sale its about 4inch off the right size for the icarus but works a treat very cosy before that we had a couple of cheap picnic blankets which we still take with us as emergency seat/bum keeper dryers. Try ringing one of the smaller retailers who would prob help out with sizes better
Outwell carpets are expensive but they are very good quality and worth the price that you will pay. The new Hartford carpet will not be too much different from your old one. Go for it!
