Apart from all the usual gear I found something comfortable to sit on was an absolute must, not a stool, it has to be a comfortable chair.
Also, as a single (lone) camper, the radio on my phone was a very nice bit of company. Nobody talks to you when you're a lone camper, they all think you're a bit of a weirdo!

We dont think solo campers are weird. Last year whilst camping in Cornwall, we had a guy next to us camping under a tarp, backpacking.
OH gave him a lift to the shops to stock up and we chatted loads.
We would always talk to solo campers and share our stew.
