JR Leisure, Manchester ( don't believe the sat nav )
Outdoor action, Blackburn.

The others have already been mentioned.
We tend visit any while away,
------------- Yesterday is already a dream and tomorrow is only a vision, but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
A lovely shop staffed by knowledgable people with great after-sales service (personal experience). 3 Floors of camping gear laid out. I like how they set up their tents with camp beds and tables, etc. so that you get a real idea of layout.
It is a bit of a drive out from Oldham through the Calder Valley, but that was part of the experience.
JR Leisure is our local shop and again cannot fault their knowledge or service. Has a good display of caravans, trailer tents and tents on display at most times.
Range of both of these may not compete well with GO Outdoors but I know that Springfield will price match.
Can I just check...you actually want to visit your in-laws???? Care to visit mine too?

My inlaws are great! They love children, so Husband and I plan to leave them for a few days, then go camping just the two of us in the Peak District. :)

Don't mind me! I get along with my outlaws and we regularly tease about not getting along (if that makes sense). There's been plenty of occasions in the past when we couldn't do without them!
Have been camping with them and although they have retired their caravan now, they will still be visiting us this year and staying nearby. (Must remember to book mother-in-law's broom for a service!)
Enjoy the Peak District. Some great areas to visit.

Unfortunately, my FIL flatly refuses to camp. But, at least we can use their house as a base from which to explore a lot of England. (I'm American, only been over here 5 years, and so England is still pretty exciting to me.)
A little weekend getaway with my husband in the Peak District would be ideal. Unfortunately, he works in tourist-related retail and can't get away too much during school holidays. Still, I think I'll try to get him to do a few long weekends this summer so that we can do this.

The Coppull store is now Discover Leisure and seems to get mixed responses form people buying caravans there however the shop is quite nice for extras that you didn't know you needed until you actually saw them! I should know as I live quite close and go in there sometimes to get things just for the trip and come out with loads. Mixed prices in there too, some good , some not so good, but unless you are after something specific you will find the same and more in Go outdoors.
We regularly use Outdoor Action in Blackburn and whilst we also have Go Outdoors, Winfields etc, the guys at Outdoor Action know their stuff and provide a great service.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
