I will be using my Monty awning with my Bear Lake 6 at Easter and have been wondering what to do about the groundsheet. I know that there will be a gap at the Bear Lake end of the awning groundsheet because of the sloping front of the Montana6. Anyone out there can tell me what they do about this? Do I need a footprint under the awning groundsheet and how do any of you bridge the gap? Does anyone use it without the groundsheet? or with that awning carpet stuff that you can buy by the metre?

No ground sheet but we have a piece from a Lidl tarp down the middle just to stop the grass walking in when cooking & stuff & keep the damp down when raining.

Hi Ashley55, We have the Montana 6 awning on the front of our Bear Lake 6. In terms of flooring we use a bear lake 6 foot print under the awning (about 1m folded under itself to fit), and then the monty ground sheet and then finally a montana 6 carpet on top of that!

only a small gap at the front left, where we put the door mat:-)

Nice and snug and makes an excellent kitchen/dinning area.
