Hi all - our new Vango Marista 500 has appeared today and we've just pitched in the back garden. 10 mins later, the heavens opened and we had a stonking great hail shower, thunder, lightning and then a good solid 5minute downpour!! Typical - now it'll have to stay up until tomorrow to dry.....

Which prompts the question - is it waterproofing a brand-new tent or should we wait until the season's done and dusted? It's stayed bone dry inside but am wondering if the seams in particular would benefit?

Beddgelert - end of June

And a multitude of random weekends TBA....

Hi
You dont need to do any waterproofing or seam sealing on this tent as the polyester flysheet has a waterproof layer on the inside and the seams are sealed with tape. If it does leak within a year send it back

Everything has been said before, but since nobody ever listens we have to keep going back and saying it all over again and again and again
