Hi!
I'm relatively new to camping and could do with some advice.
I have a pro action nevada 8 man tunnel tent and would like a porch/extension for cooking, storage etc. Are these porches pretty universal? I dont really want to spend a fortune and would like one with a door. Any advice anyone?

They are designed for specific makes of tent ie vango canopy for a vango tent but they are pretty much universal although you need to check the height and width are suitable for your tent

I realise that some tents have specific porches, but they dont make one for my tent which is why I have the dilema!

Look at your tent measurements, then have a look around to see what looks like it might fit. Remember to check width against your own tents pole positions and doors, not just the height, as many of the extensions clip onto the tent's poles.
Alternatively try a good camp shop for help. Although not local to me, I've found Norwich Camping to be pretty helpful with measurements and advice in the past when emailed.

I spent ages looking for one for my ten year old Vango but couldn't be sure of getting a good fit. Some people said they are universal and others said the gaps made life difficult or the guys weren't long enough. I spent so long looking for this elusive perfect extension that in the end I found a 2nd hand tent for not a lot more money, it was a much better option than spending £100+ on a maybe it's OK option.

I've recently added a Vango 500 fully enclosed canopy to our Aztec tent,, does the job but couldn't get the right colour match. It almost doubles the living space although we now close the main tent door as it is easier to heat.
