Hi Guys

Anyone point me in the right directing for reparing a canvas tent.

Its actually torn in the sleeping part of the tent, so its not subject to the elements.

The tent is a good few years old, so material could be frail also.
but need some advice on fixing it. thanks in advance

If its the inner tent torn on the upper section, just sew it back together with needle & thread.

Yes, just patch it with any similar weight cotton or polycotton. Charity shops are a good source of pillow case material.

Hi Bluescouse

If it's worn all over, and is likely to tear in other places, you may be better replacing it all together. If you have the patience, you could un pick it (or just cut up the seam and add an extra 2cms after) and use it as a pattern. Get some old sheets (or new polycotton) and make a new one!

I am assuming you can sew, or you wouldn't be asking in the first place

Tracey

The tear actually looks like its worn out to me
a little pressure has been added at the right area and the tear has appeared
I wasn't so sure how direct sewing would have any benifit
I think I will go with the Pillow, sheets, suggestions
