Got back from Wells-next-the-sea yesterday, cleaning and packing things away today before going back to work tomorrow.
Absolutely chucked it down Thursday evening, really strong winds the youngish trees on the site were practiacally bent in half! Was paranoid the tent would collapse (have been since I've seen all the bad reviews for my tent), but no, it moved and blew in a bit, but stood up against it like a trooper.
Can't believe how fast these two weeks have gone (I felt like I'd only just got there but was coming home!), that it's August already, I've got to go back to work and I'm 25 in under 4 months! I don't think I can cope! lol
You have to retire to be able to be able to go for the 9 weeks we go forPity you could not open the photo up & make larger to get a better view. It looks ominous but a good one for what could be seen.
When we used to have two weeks it flew by. You being a whopping 25 soon Ah! shame I feel for you
Get a couple of Delta pegs they go through all weathers and stay put ,for you main guys. The weather will probably leave the pegs in and the canvas flies away like balloon.
We was in Hunstanton, on Thursday Flowerpower, Just down the coast a little, that storm was amazing lasted well in excess of 1 hour. The thunder and Lightning was a sight to see.
I was a tad worried to say the least about the unit, but like you ours stood firm. Can't say that for a couple of others though as they had turned over completly or just plain lifted off.
We had rain most of the night as well as the strong winds though, but with the wind early Friday ot dried the tent off nicely.
Roll on Monday when we zoom off to the Peak district

I might well invest in some delta pegs, I'll look into it for next year as we only have the main holiday in the tent, we treat ourselves to a B&B holiday for 4 days or so at some other point in the year. It's awkward not living together, but hopefully when we do, we'll be able to go for more shorter camping trips.
