Thinking of getting away for the last week of September for 4 nights, a little worried whether it will be warm enough, will have EHU and although have camped before a little concerned!!!!!
we're in the same position, tempted by the bank holiday at the end of September, but will be camping in the highlands *eeek* Oh well, hot water bottles will help lol
------------- April- rosetta 3 nights
May - walled garden 3 nights
June- ??
July- monkey tree 14 nights
Warm enough in September??? Obviously you guys are not Welsh !
September camping means taking the thermals and hot water bottles (as well as the waterpoofs) but no EHU needed surely.....if you have one then you are gonna be toastie!
I've now got camps booked for September, October, November and New Year's Eve, but will only succumb to the EHU for November and December/January......well OK for all camps between Nov and March lol!
Thermals under your PJ's - tis not pretty or sexy (just as well as too much trouble to get out of the bleedin things to do anything), but they keeps ya warm!
With an EHU you can have a fan heater to help keep you warm. I would go for it. We are hoping to get away on 23rd September and who knows we might even get an indian summer
------------- Jewelsm - a fair weather camper
August 2013, 14, 15, 16 & 17-Trevornick for two and a half weeks of sea and surf (and ever optimistic -lots of sun). Some other weekends if I can persuade DH
We have camped into October without EHU. Just took lots of extra bedding and clothes for night time. I find the shortening days more of a problem than the cold TBH.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
