when we were kids we would have a washdown , using a bowl of water , soap and a flannel , and have a full bath once or twice a week , i would think most people over forty have experienced this regime ,, by the way , you wash your hair first , then rinse it with clean water , then use the water remaining to have your washdown ,, and if your little sister is going to have a washdown after you ,, you use the flannel last to clean your bum ,,

I've washed our two down at the tent loads this year! Just used a bucket, flannel and soap.
