As a seasoned camper I would like to hear what we all use to keep us snuggly warm and cosy in the chill of the night, I have seen many threads in many forums with peoples ideas for a cosy night, it would appear that this is a very important part of camping from the threads I have read over the years.
I will start the ball rolling:
Our Sunncamp Palace is not blessed with a SIG in the main living area so we have a 5m X 4m tarp folded to fit, adhered on the tarp is some picnic blankets that work a treat, in our bed pods we have TWO standard British Airways VIP blankets in each pod, then a double Gelert air bed with another thinner blanket on the top & a double flannelette fitted sheet followed buy either our sleeping bag or a double duvet, the wife has one pod I have the other and little pickle (our 2yr old has the other) in his kampa air bed. together with a 1kw heater LOVELY.

Hi, we use roll mats under our airbed and then have a quilted matress cover over the top of it. We then have sleeping bags and a duvet.We usually sleep in joggers, fleecy jumpers and socks and then snuggle up together (although we've found the bedroom pod in our new Vista is slightly warmer than the one in the Orchy (no idea why!!))
I put our little boy's airbed on top of a couple of blankets then he has his matress from his travel cot which has a brushed cotton sheet on it. He is then dressed in a long sleeve vest, fleecy babygro, gro bag and his own baby sleeping bag with a fleece blanket on top if needed. I pull his airbed right up to ours when I get in in case he needs us but he always sleeps really well like this!!

1 unfolded quishon wrapped around the SIM
1 Outwell Camper Lux sleeping bag unzipped and placed over the top like a duvet.
I sleep better than I do at home!!!
My 3 year old has:
Posadas bed, Aldi SIM, childs sleeping bag, IKEA blanket over the top, and one of those nice warm all in ones.
We also have a Delonghi bambino heater on overnight to keep the tent at a nice constant temperature.
padded blankets on the floor of our sleeping pods, lilos placed inside fleece sleeping bag liners then wrapped in cotton sheets and topped off with a couple of unfolded quishions...toasty and warm...
A fleece blanket under the SIM, a sheet on top and then the 13.5 tog down duvet to sleep under. We sleep in the altogether and have never been cold yet.
A picnic blanket on the bedroom floor to act as a carpet, but just the groundsheet in the living area.
We have a a double SIM which is 7.5cm deep with double sheet on, then our duvet (4.5 tog)on top. I sometimes have a fleece blanket on top of me as well. But that is it and it is very cosy. If it feels cold I pop a hot water bottle in first to warm it up. The SIM almost fills the pod so no need for rug etc.
Kids have double SIMs 3cm deep in their pods with sleeping bag and fleece blankets. Always do the hot water bottles for them too.
we have a carpet, but I also have rugs in the sleeping areas (don't like putting my feet out of a lovely warm bed onto a cold floor). The bed has a fleece cover followed by sheet and a 13.5 tog duvet and then quishions for additional warmth if it is chilly. OH pops the fan heater on in the main part of the tent first thing in the morning for 10 mins just to take the chill out of the air (what a sweetie he is) before I and the four year old crawl out of bed.........

I have a carpet under the air bed, then an old sleeping bag opened out on top of the airbed followed by a flanalette fitted sheet to hold it together. Then I have a duvet and a fleece blanket - and a couple of other blankets close to hand! Snug as a bug in a rug!! If it gets really really cold I can always force the dog to sleep on the bed!!!!

picnic rugs on the floor then SIMs then quilt then sleeping bag and fleece throw on the top. An hour or so before bed pop the hot water bottle into the sleeping bag - lovely and warm!
I have an electric blanket that keeps me toasty lol. The key is to not get cold in the first place as it's harder to warm up. I bought my electric blanket from poundstretcher. It's suitable to keep on all night as it's one that goes on top of you not underneath you. However I put it on an hour before I get into bed, then slip under the duvet and all you can hear is ooohh argggh lol It certainly feels good when your a little chilly. I've never needed to sleep with it on, but it does say on the instructions that you can.
In the bedroom I have a tent carpet then airbed, on top of the airbed is a picnic blanket, half a double sleeping bag then a fitted sheet. I then use a 13.5 tog duvet and the other half of sleeping bag if I need it for extra warmth, plus if it was that cold I also have a heater - lush and cosy
