Hope everyone has a better weekend than us...after a 3 hour drive to chichester, got to the site, started to pitch -then realised no tent poles... Massive row ensues over who's fault it is & drove straight back to Northampton, I was so angry & couldnt even consider a b&b -after calming down, we're going to try again tomorrow in Matlock bath this time. If I've learnt one thing from all this..Do a checklist!!!

Oh no! After all that debate about the cooker too!

I don't want to take sides but....... tent poles go with the tent and that's the OH's responsibility! I deal with bedding, food, crockery etc (oh and booze) - everything else is up to him. (if there was a smilie that "ducks" I would put it here!). Oh wait! there is, ha ha: ducking smiley

We once got to where we store the tin tent and realised we had left the keys at home! Only an hour round trip but bad enough!

Hope things go better for you second time round.

Cheers, Caz x

ps Did you win the cooker argument?

Ty Mawr on Sunday for a week, its not every ones cup of tea but its cheap enough for the camping at this time of year & as we go for the sea fishing is dead handy & loads of free bait as well.

This was home last Saturday night, back to basics for a night, the beauty of a good Army sleeping bag and Goretex bivvy bag.
