Well, back in August we bought a notebook bbq from GO in the hope we'd be able to squeeze it in the car when we went camping... however, after one use, the lacquer peeled off on the inside (would have put up with that... it's where the coals go after all...) but also on the outside! So, decided to take it back. Hubby took it and got a credit note, which is printed on their till receipt roll. After a week or so in his pocket (sigh...) he took it out and it had pretty much all faded so he gave it me. You could still see the barcode so I figured it would be ok. However, went to a store today to look at tents and decided to look at getting another bbq. Picked a Weber one, took it to till and gave them the refund receipt. Not only did the barcode not work, but they couldn't see any codes on the receipt nor even the amount it was for. I had a feeling I was going to be arguing this one out with HO....
However, the staff in Loughborough store were able (thankfully) to eventually trace all of the details of our transactions via our Discount Card and manually entered the cost of the refund in for us. New bbq seems fab too! So, firstly - GO you really need to rethink your refund system because we almost lost nearly £22 which to us, is a lot of money! But secondly, a big thank you to the staff in GO Loughborough for their patience and help! Was very, very impressed! (And much as I think it's a con having to pay £5 a year for the discount card, at least it comes in useful!)
LOL, just been to Go Outdoors in Sheffield in my lunch hour to pick up 3 of their Hi Gear campbeds (one for me and one each for the boys) - they have the cheap ones but they are difficult to put together, especially after putting the tent up.
They have a £20 off voucher on the website currently so I printed the voucher and set off. Got to the store and realised I had forgotten voucher so had to come back empty handed. Need to see if I can get there after work now

Oops!! I'm not 100% sure but I have a feeling that most stores will accept the coupon if you show them it on a smart phone? I'm sure I've seen that on GO's website... or there was one that you could send a link to your phone or something? Might be worth looking into for next time!
I can vouch for Go in Loughborough too, I recently bought a Mojave 5 from them in the hope of making one last weekend away with the kids, but that didn't come :( I decided on keeping the tent anyway and went to set it up in the back garden to check it out, when I opened the bag I noticed the tent had been packed away badly, almost screwed up. I thought that's no way done in the factory, so I unrolled it partly and spotted wear on the grounsheet...a rather large hole in fact! My bet is someone had it, used it then took it back for some reason, and it ended up back on the shelf. I took it back and the issued me a full refund, no problems. I was expecting then to think it was me who had used it and refuse a refund....but they didn't. You could tell the tent had been used as the poles were scuffed and the pegs had dried mud on them. I didn't bother fully unwrapping the tent to see if there was any other issue with it.
Great service from Go.....

Its worse than that Kat67, I picked up a leaflet on the way into the store and realised later that the vouchers were on the back of the leaflet also - doh!!
We really like GO in Sheffield and buy a lot of our walking/running/camping there.

LMAO!!! I really shouldn't laugh.... but that does sound like something I'd do so I figure I'm entitled!!! Hehe!
We usually go to Wolverhampton as that's our local store, but I had been told they had a tent on display that we were wanting to see, or else I'd never have gone to Loughborough. It seems that their general level of customer service is good judging by lots of posts I read on here. Makes a nice change these days!
