Got back from Suffolk at the weekend and have spent the day cleaning, washing and putting away for the winter.
We had a brilliant week and didn't really need the heater much but the toaster was excellent!
We stayed at Brighthouse farm and had it more or less to ourselves from Monday to Friday:
The sunsets were glorious:
Sigh - roll on next April...
A week ago I was sitting in brilliant sunshine and just chilling out. Now, it's raining and I'm surrounded by wet washing! Sigh.
Still, OH hasn't mentioned the giant suitcase I took away with me. We both usually have lightweight bags, but I got a bit carried away with the thought that it would be COLD at night so I took all the fleeces I could find, thermals, thermal socks, wind-proof coat, camping jacket, woolly hat and gloves! In the end, I had to drag out a huge suitcase and expand it to get everything in and the worst part was that I didn't need any of that stuff, just my sun hat which I left at home!
Never mind, I've got all the memories to keep me going 'til April and at least we got the best of the weather this summer!
Hi Pillsley, great to see the pictures from Brighthouse Farm, we stayed there 2 nights in July, and your pics made me feeling like being on holiday again for a second! Our pitch was behind the fire bucket...
We saw no sunset though, because the weather was not as good as it has been recently!
