Hi folks,

Just wanted to say hello as a new member of the UK Campsite Forum. I say new but I was actually a member a few years back and this is me returning.

Started of camping when young in an old ex army A frame tent, had both a Commer Caravenette and a left hand drive VW Camper, dragged an old tin tent behind me for a while, loved my Conway Classic 2000 TT and then bought a static. I've just sold the static and am back to camping which has always been my first love.

I have bought and sold 3 sets of camping equipment over the years and am currently putting together my fourth and hopefully last set. I've just got a new 2011 model Vango Icarus 5 with all the trimmings and have a few trips booked for the spring and summer. I'm now looking to replace my car to accomodate everything as I don't travel light. Who said camping was cheap!

Has anyone else left their tent behind in the past to try pastures new, only to return to what they love best?

I'm not only looking forward to the season ahead but also to getting my camping fix through this forum and talking with like minded people who just 'get it'
