Just stayed on a lovely site on a working farm. Trouble is it was muck spreading time and we were downwind of the fields. Just got home and EVERYTHING smells of what they were spreading on the fields. Most of it we can wash but do we just have to leave the tent, chairs and stuff like that to air or is there an easy way of getting rid of the smell?
We love the countryside but don't really want to smell it for the rest of the year!
Any ideas please?

March - Beech Croft Farm (3 nights)
They are muck spreading in the fields around us at the moment and it STINKS!!! Trouble is, like you say everything smells of it, could smell it on my son when he came in after playing out on the trampoline.
All the washing on the line smells of it. Yak.
I think if you just give it an air it will probably be OK.
Think I would be tempted to leave tent out in rain if possible, that should clear smell, then leave to dry. If no rain just leave it out few nights to really air it.
Agree with spraying items with febreeze. Maybe wash chairs with cloth and soapy water first.
Our little 2 man got really smokey from a fire once and we had to leave it out for 3/4 days before the smell cleared. It did rain while it was up and that helped to clear the smell too.
Agree with everyone else to fabreeze all the non tent stuff.
