Well we are on day one of our New Forest camp and despite a new trailer plus the old roof box we still needed two cars. However we are bringing camping gear for another family, but I swear never again, and we will minimise and practice packing the trailer before we go on the next break. My dearest insists on bring everything we could ever consume with us, but I'm putting my foot down for the next trip. There are shops within 5 miles. Still a good run with the Franc GT151 foul weather 2/3rds of the journey and roadworks every 20 or so miles.
I have 3 collapsible sinks and a collapsible bucket.

It's took me 3 attempts to pack the car and roof box. It is the 1st of the yr tho with new tent and gear. Just realised I've still got clothes and food to pack yet. And it's only for 1 night. Arghh
------------- September 27th. I'm going away. Don't care where. Just going!!!!
we had a trailer, and a kia ceed 1.4 for 5 of us, we got it down to a fine art, as to what was packed, where and how, we only took enough food for the first day or so, its amazing what we squeezed in the car..we went camping with some friends once without the trailer, and they were suprized we had 5 in the car, as well as a khyam ontario 8 tent, sleeping bags, camp cookers etc, practice makes perfect, there are also some things you just dont need! - With time and practice, you will get it packed perfectly - needless to say, we have ditched the ceed, and trailer and bought a roofbox, and citroen berlingo car, and there is still room to spare, maybe we now need to buy more stuff to fill the gaps!
Well darling dearest now admits she brought a little too many provisions with us and agrees we can cut back. I think the real problem was bringing the extra (5 man) tent some extra things for our co-campers like chairs, and enough food for us all and two dogs for the 5 days.
if we go away for more that 2 nights I never try to take all food with us, only the essentials for arrival then make for the supermarket.
Well done at getting all that extra kit in though
I don't bother with cooking if I can get away with it. Do you need to take food with you and everything you need to cook it with? Also, I used to take far too much clothing when I started out, now I make do with a couple of pairs of leggings and tee shirts, I huge cuddly jumper plus whatever underwear I need. One on, one washed out. You can go weeks like that.
