Hi all need to ask what some may think is a daft question, I have a vango tigris 800 and the size in length is 740cm and the pitch size is 920cm.

What i need to know some sites state 7m x 7m pitches one in particular I am looking at, do I have to go by my pitch size or do I go by the tent size, I am new to camping and this will be our 2nd trip and would appreciate your help.

The footprint of the Tigris 800 measures 740cm x 300cm.
Therefore you will require a pitch that is at least 940cm x 500cm to allow the guys.
Obviously if you have to fit your car on the pitch too (which you often do!) then you will need an even larger pitch size.

Our Ontario 8 measures 750cm x 370cm and we have never had a problem getting on a site.
However, I do always ring them with the tent footprint measurements so they are aware of the size of my tent.
