Lancs Lass, it is a smashing spot but it can be marred by the rubbish that some inconsiderate campers leave behind. I cannot for the life of me understand why people leave their trash behind for others to "enjoy". I was introduced to camping as a boy in the BB and the last thing we did after striking camp was to form a long line and walk the site picking up all the litter. I feel so strongly about this that I help the owners by walking round the site picking up trash. You would not believe what folk leave behind! I picked up 6 buckets of rubbish like this one morning:-
So if anyone leaves litter watch out! The trash polis are coming to get you!
Aye...I was out early for a walk one morning...Someone had left a big pile of lager bottles and assorted rubbish on the edge of the river...A nice neat pile granted....But still there!!! with a bin less than 5 mins walk away???
Then on the way back to the campsite we found a black bin bag just dumped by the side of the road...Out in the middle of nowhere..In such a beautiful spot...It stood out a mile...and jarred the senses a bit....
