We have 2 separate folding campbeds, 2 separate 10cm sims, double sleeping bag and I can honestly say from recent experience that the bar and sturdiness of the beds etc,do not effect a bit of you know what.
We had no problems and Sims are very comfy on the knees

snuggling is not a problem! anything more....er....energetic! may be a bit risky.
in terms of weight OH and I are 27stone combined. we don't let Poppy on the bed!
Lol, beautifully put! Poppy does look a little large for bed sharing. Lakelands (and presumably, border terriers and other similar size dogs) are excellent at keeping you warm while camping. They're big enough to keep the quilt down and draughts out, but not big enough to stop you turning over. And they love to snuggle!
Thanks everyone for all the replies. I think double campbed with a sim on top seems the way to go for us.
As for romance think we will just have to risk it!
