I have a wild country halo 73 tent and planning on using it soon. Last year was the last time it was used and it was leaking from the single skin porch area. Rain fall would stay on the top and gradually drip through into the porch area, covering coats, shoes etc.
The main living quarters are not affected as they have an inner skin.
It didn't leak when I used it for the first few times so it seems to have lost its waterproofness.

Can it be made to be water-proof again?

Hi
With all polyester tents the waterproof coating is on the inside so as the Halo is quite old now I would have a look at the inside of your porch to see if the coating has turned milky white or you can see any cracking. A temporary solution can be had by giving the outside material a coat of fabsil, the seas can be sealed with a sea sealer and make sure it is pitched correctly. Which 73 do you have rectangular or round windows

The tent has round windows and has been used about 7 times.
So not that many. It isn't leaking from the seals but the material itself. When it rains the water doesn't bead much at all on the porch area and tends to soak through very gradually.
The rest of the tent is extremely waterproof and other than the leaky porch, I really like the tent.

Try fabsil on the porch it may work but you may have to do it each year. We have the earlier blue one with rectangular windows

Well, I was camping last week and it poured down for 2 days. Tent did not leak one bit so I must not have erected it properly the last time. I definately ensured the porch part was very taut this time. it made all the difference.
