Leaking window seams, zip and nylon came apart and unthreaded missing guy lines.
I have sent go outdoors the below email :-
"Hi all
I bought the Vango Marista 700 back in September last year.
I was unable to set this up in my own back yard as you carnt swing a cat in it.
Anyway when i set the thing up on my Holidays down in Newquay
I found that the front door porch the stitching and the nylon had become unthreaded so i had a hole about 30cm in the front door.
So of course it had to rain so ended up with a extra water feature in the tent..
Also the inside door zip appeared to have been damaged it had crooked teeth so unable to zip it up.
The tent leaked at the windows seams. even after it stopped raining and it rained again and still leaked. (Yes i am aware of the tent has to get wet to activate the water proofing)
Also the rear end guy rope line is missing? also a guy line on one of the vents was missing.
One of the poles the inside metal link was not connected to anything
So was wondering if i can get this checked/repaired or replaced.
Order No. 478073 i
So not to happy about my things getting rarther soggy when it rained and my little 12v fridge got dripped into which is now broken. (Would have moved it but was off site when it was raining so was already soggy when i got back)
So now got to replace the fridge it self (Was bought as a gift couple of years ago) (Unless you guys are feeling generous and wish to replace this ;-0 )
Any way thanks for your time and please contact me asap."
No point getting angry at them as it gets u no where.
Nah bought on credit card so also covered by that!!
also 12 month warranty on the thing if not will ask my friends in trading standards to pick them apart (Work for local council )
One year we bought an Outwell Montana 6 which we found to have a stitching fault so returned and got a replacement. Only to find a number of faults with the replacement; missing guy ropes, missing tension strap and a footprint on the roof of the bedroom pod and just generally felt like it had been used. Took it back and got items for a caravan we decided to buy instead. By the sounds of it I'd say you'd got a return as well. We didn't get our tent for Go Outdoors tho was another dealer

From what I've heard Go are pretty good at dealing with problems,I think your email is very polite,no point getting angry as it's not their fault, they only sell the gear. Hope you get a positive result.

Dont want to be negative here, but you bought it in Sept, and didnt do a trial pitch to check for problems, I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but its always a good idea to do a trail pitch, I hope all goes well we've had issues & GO have been wonderful

Magic Cove.... Newquay 18th May weather permitting
nothing else planned as yet
We had problems with our new Maritsa, went back to the retailer (missing eyelets, guy ropes badly frayed), which they agreed to repair no problem, however we also had another issue that we thought was due to us pitching it wrong (long story!) and so we contacted Vango direct for some pitching advice, had a lovely email back from them to advise it was a fault with the tent not us (phew!) and advised we should get a replacement under warranty via the retailer, after speaking to the retailer (who have been brilliant too) we have a new canvas on its way! Hope you get it resolved, I've got to say as a fairly new camper I have been extremely impressed with the customer service of camping shops, seem to be much better than other retail shops or is that just me?!

Hi the large bedroom pod would not reach the outer side of the tent to enable us to hook it into the eyelets we had to sleep in it with half of it hanging off! The central door was uneven and so was the floor. We tried pitching numerous times but kept getting the exact same thing, we had previously pitched our friends Maritsa a couple of times with no issues and these same friends helped us pitch ours with the same result which is why we contacted Vango (in frustration!) for advice. They came back and said it was a manufacturing fault, reading on here they seem to be having a few issues at the moment, fingers crossed the next one is a good un! :)
