Tent pegs will be supplied with the tent. However I would recommend you try to build up a selection of pegs for various ground types.
Excellent thread about the pitching in the wind here

I would run out and buy some anyway so you have spares. I would also have a quick try at putting the tent up or at least open the packaging to ensure all the parts are there. ------------- Why can't we live in the tent..?

We would definitely not go away with a new tent and just the pegs supplied with it.
Always take lots of spare pegs - you can't be sure what ground you will encounter or weather conditions can you ?
If you've got spare pegs in the garage - make time to dig them out then you'll be prepared on site.
The suggestion to test pitch is really good advice too. Even the night before if you're short of time.

I wouldn't like to say where they would be as each type of tent is packed in a different way.
Did you not see the pegs when you tried to put it up..?

Check the pole bag and see if the pegs are in there, I don't think they will be in with the main tent but to be honest I don't own the Montana Lake. Make sure you have some pegs before you go though...

Definately check that they are there, we met some people camping a few weekends ago who hadnt checked everything was there, the first thing they had to do after unpacking the tent was pack it back up again and drive to the shops to get the pegs that were missing out of the package!------------- Debs

It's always worth having a few spares, but I've been really pleased with the plastic Outwell pegs in normal ground (they aren't too keen if they meet a rock, though...)
