....SUCCESS!!! Torrential rain on the journey to Golden Sands. Heavy drizzle when we got there, but as soon as we parked up, the rain stopped & we got lucky with our location as the ground wasn't boggy. The tent went up really well & easier than we could've imagined.It started to rain just after we finished, so took kids swimming & came out to sunny blue skies, so back to tents for BBQs, then on to complex so kids can dance & play on arcades. Back to tents to settle in for night (had to wait for the mini riot that kicked off at midnight to subside ) realised how cold it could get but dealt with that. Woke up in the morning for a full on heatwave that lasted the day, when all weather reports said rain & showers in the afternoon. I thought we over packed as the car was fit to burst (literally) now realise I need to get a roof box!!! Hopefully we'll get another couple of trips in, locally, this year then go further afield & for longer next year.
