Quick question on behalf of a friend (I don't do Abroad!)
Does anyone know if you are allowed to take gas bottles for cooking on a cross channel ferry?
Thanks!

Just for info I declared I had a bottle on the ferry to the isle of wight they placed a sticker in the window to indicate that I had gas on board. You may wish to do the same. I imagine its for awareness in case of emergencies i guess.

Check with the ferry operator. For example, we can take sealed gas bottles over to the island but are not allowed spare cans of petrol or diesel on the ferries unless we book certain ferries and fill in all the dangerous goods details 24 hours before sailing and have stickers on the vehicle.
