Damn cooking fat has chewed through my pole elastic! The pole bag was wet so was drying it and left poles on the floor, little sod.
Anyhoo, do any camping shops offer the service to restring? I've never had to do it before and we are going away in a week, I don't have time to get it sorted myself.
Please help

I think Go Outdoors do. It is a pretty quick job to do yourself. Just need something to pull the elastic through and some elastic. You can get kits off ebay or tentspares.co.uk
Sorry, shouldn't laugh, but that's quite funny. Yes, it's quite an easy job. I had to learn to do it recently for the first time. Just pop into a camping shop and you should find what you need.
My cat was chewing guy ropes today . . . . Now I wonder if his whiskers would be long/strong enough . . .
I am finding it amusing now but I wasn't an hour ago lol, little
The problem I have is no camp shops near me and I don't have the time tomorrow to drive anywhere, hence why I wondered if I could stop en route and get someone to do it for me, but I do have a blacks near work so could go in there but its a small one so dont know if theyll have the stuff, i'll investigate.
Can't believe it, he knows he's in the bad books, he's vanished!

As Bernie said - just be careful when you're putting the pole in the sleeve and you should be fine. Make sure you get it fixed soon, though - it'll be a pain in the bum otherwise!
Kill two birds with one stone.
Kill the cat and use its intestines to replace the elastic.
Save money, catgut is stronger than elastic and remove the risk of it happening again
Simples!
