Heading off again tomorrow and forecast is still rubbish. Heavy rain tomorrow and cloudy with showers rest of the week.
The kids have just over 3 weeks left of their holidays so it would be good if we could have some sunshine, especially as last summer was wettest on record here in Scotland I'd like some summer this year.
Not that the rain will stop us heading off but I'd love to camp in the sunshine for a change.
We have sunshine for the last 4-5 days and still supposed to be for next week also. Now we are back home that is. Always the way, we do not go away again till 2nd Sept.
But it is warmer in the South at this time.
Wherever you end girlwomble enjoy yourself and I hope you get your better weather as it has been rough up there for quite a while.
Weather lovely in east Yorkshire. Still sat outside at Conifer Lake Allerthorpe. had a lovely couple of days.

Gorgeous weekend here in Cheshire but only set to last until Tuesday lunchtime. I have a week off work so will save the decorating til later in the week when it's raining.
Sorry its been so miserable up there and looking at the long range forecasts it doesn't look like it's going to improve much. Our kids have just finished school for 6 weeks and we are planning to go to North Wales for the last two weeks so hopefully it will have picked up by then.
Sat in our new tent right now in Derbyshire. Warm evening, clear blue skies, beautiful sunset, beer flowing. This is why I love camping. Come south a bit. The forecast is good for a few more days at least.
Couldn't agree more girlwomble! Had nearly 20 months of lousy weather until this April since when, although a tad chill, at least it's been dry most of the time and now this load of rubbish. It's not that I've not got loads of sympathy for those flooded out, had holidays ruined but I do get just a bit fed up with some weather forecasters! Mates in the north of England haven't been overjoyed with the smugness either. S
Sorry folks, my home country is too far south for weekend camping and that's all I get to do!
Hope the sun shines on you all but would you please, please ask the rain god to keep away from Speyside first q/end in August?
