We had our 1st trip away in our new Outwell Delaware 5 at the weekend, all was a great success.
We were a little cautious about going as the weather wasn't great on Friday and the site was very wet. So much so that they weren't allowing cars onto the field, it was a case of parking up and carrying all our stuff to the pitch - it was very wet and boggy underfoot but we knew it was going to be dry for the rest of the weekend so it would dry up eventually.
I managed to put the tent up on my own as Mrs Dan entertained/controlled the children. It wasn't too tricky and was up within 30 - 40 minutes.
We are very pleased with the tent, great space for what we need and so much flexibility. I'll post a full review in the reviews section at some point soon.
In the meantime, here are a couple of shots from the trip.

Well done on getting it up Dan. I couldn't manage it.

Ok, that sounded messed up. You know what I mean. Metal poles are a bit cumbersome, and I'm no fairy foot either. Anyway, great pics, glad you had a lovely time, and thanks for showing us your set up, looks lovely

Yes we are very pleased with it, ill get working on a review.
The set up is rather sparse as we have gone from something very small to suddenly having loads of space. I think we will need to add a few bits and pieces of furniture over the next few trips.

Getting it up wasn't a big problem, so to speak!

I did it the way the guys at cross camping do a Filey 6 on YouTube and it was pretty easy. Once the 1st hoop was in I guyed it out to save it from falling down then I just got the others in from there.

The only thing I regret is pitching in a puddle, most of the ground underneath was ok but a very boggy squishy patch appeared in one area under the porch. The groundsheet did its job but was filthy underneath and needed a good scrub when we got home.

All looks great, and the site (other than the soggy ground) looks good too, nice big pitches.

Hi Dan, PS great pics and happy camping in it!

Can I ask about your carpet ..... is it a fleecy version of the outwell carpets or is it the non-fleecy type.  If its the fleecy type, can I ask where you bought it, as I'm after a Delaware fleecy carpet and struggling to find one!

Thanks.

That looks like a great tent Dan, well done for pitching it solo. Has it got a separate porch or is it already built in?

It's got a built in porch bit so it pitches all in one, you can actually unzip the whole front sloping bit to create a canopy - its so versatile.

Humbird- the carpet is the non fleecy one I think. Ive not had a tent carpet before so it feels pretty good to me but I can imagine how a fleecy one could be even better.

Tidburyboy- the site is barn farm in birchover, Derbyshire. It's really nice and has great views and great facilities. Plenty of space usually, this weekend especially.

Thanks Dan, my search continues for a fleecy mocca outwell of the size I want ... thanks for your input!  Glad you are loving your tent - it looks the biz.

That looks like a lovely tent, and I think most of us have made the mistake of pitching in a puddle at one point or another. A tarp or footprint t will help keep the groundsheet clean (tarps are a lot cheaper, but you might need to cut them to size).
