Yeah, it takes a bit of getting used to, but you do just have to go with the flow and trust the camping community thing. After all, everyone is in the same boat, and there's no way to make a tent really secure. We lock up our valuables - camera, basically - in the boot if it's not coming out with us, but the tent is almost worth as much money and that's out all the time!

I once awoke in the morming to find that someone had taken the windbreak! They'd left the table, cooker and bowl of fruit that were behind it though.

I lock up electronics (phones, kids games, ipods) and cash in the car, but otherwise I've never worried about camping equipment.
